Terms and ConditionsPrivacy Policy

1. Agreement to these Terms

These Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) form an agreement between you and Christopher Grant Rumler, doing business as SEO Shift Log (“SEO Shift Log,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or using SEO Shift Log, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into this agreement. If you use SEO Shift Log for a company or another organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

2. What SEO Shift Log provides

SEO Shift Log helps users record SEO changes, import read-only Google Search Console performance data, compare equal periods before and after a recorded change, and prepare shareable reports.

Performance comparisons are descriptive, not causal. They show what changed and what happened afterward. They do not establish that a recorded change caused a ranking, traffic, or business result.

SEO Shift Log is an information and workflow tool. It does not provide legal, financial, or professional SEO advice, and it does not guarantee rankings, traffic, revenue, or any other outcome.

3. Accounts and workspaces

You are responsible for providing accurate account information, maintaining control of your email account and sign-in links, assigning workspace access appropriately, and notifying us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

Actions taken through your account or by workspace members you authorize are treated as authorized by you unless you notify us otherwise. Workspace owners and administrators may manage workspace content, connected properties, members, reports, and billing.

4. Google Search Console connection

Connecting Google Search Console is optional. If you connect it, you authorize SEO Shift Log to use the webmasters.readonly permission to list properties you can access and retrieve Search Console performance data for properties you select. SEO Shift Log does not use this permission to edit your site or Search Console settings.

Your use of Google services remains subject to Google’s applicable terms and policies. You must have the right to connect each property and process its data. You may revoke SEO Shift Log’s access through your Google Account, but revocation does not automatically delete data previously imported into your workspace; see the Privacy Policy for deletion requests.

5. Your content and permissions

You retain ownership of the change records, descriptions, hypotheses, report text, and other content you submit (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited, nonexclusive license to host, process, reproduce, and display Your Content only as needed to operate, secure, support, and improve the service.

You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit Your Content and any connected property data. You are responsible for reviewing reports before sharing them and for avoiding confidential or personal information that should not appear in a report.

6. Shared reports

When you publish a report, SEO Shift Log creates a link to a frozen snapshot of the selected report content and metrics. Anyone who receives that link may be able to view and redistribute the report until its link expires or an authorized workspace member revokes it. Do not publish material you are not authorized to share.

7. Acceptable use

You may not use SEO Shift Log to:

  • violate law, regulation, third-party rights, or provider terms;
  • access or share a property, workspace, account, or report without authorization;
  • upload malicious code or interfere with the service’s operation or security;
  • probe, scrape, reverse engineer, or bypass access controls except where applicable law expressly permits it;
  • misrepresent performance data, another person’s identity, or your authority to act; or
  • use the service to create or distribute unlawful, deceptive, infringing, or abusive material.

8. Subscriptions and payment

Paid plans, prices, billing intervals, and included capacity are shown before purchase. Unless the checkout states otherwise, subscriptions renew automatically for the same billing interval until canceled. Stripe processes payments; we do not store complete payment-card details.

You authorize the applicable recurring charges, including taxes where required. You may manage or cancel an active subscription through the billing portal. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current paid period. Fees already paid are nonrefundable except where required by law or expressly stated at purchase.

We may change future pricing or plan capacity with advance notice. A price change will not retroactively alter charges for a period already paid.

9. Third-party services

SEO Shift Log depends on services provided by companies such as Google, Supabase, Stripe, and hosting or infrastructure providers. Their services are governed by their own terms and may change or become unavailable. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our control.

10. Ownership of the service

SEO Shift Log and its software, interface, branding, documentation, and original content are owned by Christopher Grant Rumler or licensed to us. These Terms do not transfer ownership. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, nonexclusive, nontransferable right to use the service for your internal business purposes.

11. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the service at any time. You may request account or workspace deletion by emailing privacy@seoshiftlog.com. We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect the service or others, address nonpayment, comply with law, or respond to a material violation of these Terms.

After termination, your right to use the service ends. Provisions that by their nature should survive—including payment obligations, ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, and governing law—will survive.

12. Service changes and availability

We may modify, add, or remove features and may perform maintenance. We aim to operate the service reliably but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. If a material change substantially reduces a paid service, we will provide notice when reasonably practicable.

13. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SEO Shift Log is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, noninfringement, and any warranty arising from course of dealing or usage of trade. We do not warrant that data supplied by Google or another provider is complete, current, or error-free.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither SEO Shift Log nor its operator will be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from or related to the service.

Our total liability for all claims arising from or related to the service will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid to SEO Shift Log during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limits, so portions of this section may not apply to you.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You and SEO Shift Log consent to exclusive jurisdiction and venue in the state and federal courts located in Indiana, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

Before filing a claim, please email privacy@seoshiftlog.com and provide enough information to understand the dispute. Both sides agree to make a good-faith effort to resolve it informally.

16. Changes and general terms

We may update these Terms. If a change is material, we will provide reasonable notice through the service, by email, or by updating this page before the change takes effect when practicable. Continued use after the effective date of revised Terms means you accept them.

If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent; we may assign them as part of a reorganization, financing, merger, acquisition, or sale of the service or its assets.
